Never have I mourned the death of turtles more than this boss. Then again, a legion of little robots swarming over the raid one-shotting everyone is pretty funny. Only the first 20 times though.

A little slow getting this post up, but we cleared up to Animus on Tuesday and went in there the next day and got ourselves a kill. All told, right around 70 pulls– which wound up being not as bad as I was expecting, given the horror stories. Turns out the secret is just yelling ANIMA FONT over and over.

So uh, time for heroic Lei Shen. 5.4 PTR raid testing is just starting this next week so it looks like we should have the time necessary to get this all done if we keep up the pace.

Eyeball down. 10/13 heroics.

Have to say, way too many wipes to Flash Freeze going off at the end of Light Spectrum even though that fog was never revealed, or Amber Fogs blowing up the raid even though they never became visible, or Amber Fogs spawning but nobody having line of sight on them. You know, the usual.

But hey, eventually the stars aligned and there weren’t any bugs and now he’s dead. So there. Next up: Dark Animus. Time for the real fun?

And some more news yet again.

After getting Iron Qon so quickly last week, we spent the last day of our raid week trying out Twin Consorts since, well, what else is there to do? Got a good feel for the fight to set us up for this week.

After finishing up repeat kills of our recent bosses (see previous post), we had a couple pulls Wednesday night and then went about coming up with a plan to handle the few things that were causing us trouble. Came in Thursday with a new strat and they died in 4 pulls. Well then.

9/13 heroics for us, and now the path ahead is clear- Durumu, Animus, Lei Shen, and Ra-den. Onward!

A boss died!

After getting Council last week, we decided to put some work into Primordius since it seemed pretty straightforward. Once we got back in there and cleared out the farm content this Tuesday, Wednesday was set up to be Primordius day. Sure enough, after a little more work we killed him that night. Behold:

AND THEN ANOTHER BOSS DIED.

With Primordius out of the way Wednesday, we figured we might as well get back to work on Iron Qon. We had already done some pulls on it a couple weeks ago after killing Ji-Kun, so we were generally familiar with the fight. Apparently familiar enough to kill him in just a handful of attempts on Thursday.

With that, we’re sitting at 8/13 heroics. And hey you never know, maybe there’ll be another update here before this week is over!
